Add full support for OpenType variable fonts, allowing users to adjust weight, width, and slant via sliders in the Character panel. Include a real-time preview feature to quickly compare font instances across different styles.

This would really elevate Photoshop’s type tools. Adjusting font properties with sliders—like in some web design tools—would give us way more creative control without constantly switching fonts.

Would love to see this integrated with paragraph and style presets too. If the real-time preview could also show how the changes affect text layout, that would be amazing for responsive mockups.

Yes, please! Illustrator and XD already support variable fonts pretty well, and it feels like Photoshop is falling behind. Having this in the Character panel would make it so much easier to stay consistent across Adobe apps.

This would be a huge time-saver for editorial design workflows. Right now, I have to manually switch between multiple font weights just to compare them. A real-time slider would make typographic exploration much more fluid.
