Enable smarter, AI-assisted tools for working with text in Photoshop—such as automatic font pairing, layout suggestions, and intelligent spacing adjustments—to speed up design workflows and improve typographic results with minimal manual tweaking.
Add full support for OpenType variable fonts, allowing users to adjust weight, width, and slant via sliders in the Character panel. Include a real-time preview feature to quickly compare font instances across different styles.
Implement a smart grid overlay specifically for text layers that helps with alignment, spacing, and rhythm. It would adapt to font metrics and guide users toward better typographic hierarchy and visual balance.
Introduce a panel for saving and applying custom text styles (e.g., font, size, color, effects) as reusable presets. This would allow for consistent typography across projects and quick application of branded styles.
With AVIF being supported in modern web browsers the need for AVIF as a save as option or export to option would be very helpful. For those of us that still use Photoshop as a primary graphic editor (even for simple web sites) this will become more and more important as JPG's are replaced.
When using the move tool, you can switch between the group or layer selection when the move tool selection is made again or the shortcut key (V) is pressed again.
Dear Photoshop Team (as well as the Illustrator and Edge Tools Team):The format improves upon .jpeg and .png use cases today while at the same time providing 2x-3x smaller file sizes at the same, comparable quality settings.According to the image specificaitons, "WebP supports lossless transparency (also known as alpha channel) with just 22% additional bytes. Transparency is also supported with lossy compression and typically provides 3x smaller file sizes compared to PNG when lossy compression is acceptable for the red/green/blue color channels" (https://developers.google.com/speed/w...).Being able to used on the latest Android devices an the latest versions of Chrome and Opera (I know they both use Blink, and thus it isn't a surprise that both support it already), according to caniuse.com, it is sort of reasonable to consider I think.
If using graphics tablet to retouch confronted with problem to moving Photoshop panels. Like, wont to back on a history step and accidentally moving all panel with history. Maybe can make "lock interface" function?
I updated to Photoshop version 22.5.0 and just noticed that File > Export > Export As has a majorly dumbed down JPEG quality menu. Photoshop is for professionals. Having accurate control over quality is import for optimizing to a small file size. Giving a few choices (and not even telling us what quality they are) is not acceptable for a pro app. I know for now I can go into prefs and use the legacy version, but please bring back the quality percentage! I also posted this on the Photoshop Feedback website which I think is a more appropriate place to discuss this, but wanted to see what other people think. It's probably best to comment there so Adobe knows. Photoshop Feedback: Bring back JPEG quality percentage to Export As dialog
Hello, I would like if JPEG XL support was added into Photoshop. It would allow me to use single format for lossy and lossless photos.
The popup help for tools and panel items are too helpful. They are annoying and get in the way. I'm constantly swatting them away but they always come back, like mosquitoes. Please provide an option to suppress them, they drive me crazy.
We need to have the grids and the guides in Photoshop for iPad ! I can’t work without them. Thank you !
