+1Just updated Photoshop to 26.6.0
If I copy and past a text layer, then edit the text. While it displays the correct font in the top drop down, it's not using that font. It's using 'Myriad Pro'. I have to type a few letters, highlight them, change it to the correct font, then I can continue editing in the intended font.
I would expect it to work the same as editing an existing text layer.

I tried testing this out on my end but haven't been able to reproduce the issue so far. Does this happen with every font? Have you tried resetting your Photoshop preferences? If you could share a screen recording showcasing the error, that would be super helpful for us to investigate further.

+1Resetting the preferences didn't make any difference. Issue persisted.

+1I've tried a dozen fonts at random and it was the same. I will do a recording before trying the reset so you can see the issue even if the reset fixes it.
